"My days in the wilderness will live with me always. Everything there was so alive and familiar. Whoever gains the blessings of one mountain day is rich forever." – John Muir
My curfew cue in the summer was the appearance of lighting bugs at dusk. Their arrival meant I had to stick my head in the door to say I would be in the front yard. I would lay in the driveway and watch the stars come out. Not long after I would head to bed just so I could wake up with the sun and go back outside.
As I grew older, I swapped the front yard for the woods and the driveway for a tent. I have wandered throughout out the wilderness, climbed countless mountains, strolled along the ocean shorelines and quietly floated rivers too numerous to name. This is what brings peace to my soul and quiets the rat-race of my mind.
I believe our society has become disconnected from nature. It seems people no longer see the beauty of nature and what it has to offer them (for free!). They forget the beauty and only see what can be taken and profited from.
GO! Take your shoes off and go outside. Sit and be still for a few moments. Take some deep breaths and relax. The more you do this the more you will become grounded and start to see the beauty and the healing power of the Earth.
My goal is for my photography to inspire you to see, explore, enjoy and protect our natural world. Commercial photography and fine art prints are just some of the services I provide. I invite you to go on an adventure through these images and if one speaks to you, I encourage you to welcome it into your artwork collection.
I hope this portfolio takes you on a journey that brings great riches to your soul. Mother Earth is here for you…go and enjoy the beauty.
